The Bumble Bee
The bumble-bee extension was a concept to extend a Brunswick Victorian weatherboard house for a couple about to commence having a family. As the front of the house faced east and the rear yard faced west high level windows were placed above the kitchen and screened with Flexbrick on operable screens that opened out to mimic the wings of a bumble bee. The use of white, yellow and black glazed bricks and subway tiles along with recycled bricks and polished concrete floors fitted with the chic Brunswick warehouse aesthetic.
